Saulsbury Plants Their Flag on I-20
June 14, 2011 – Saulsbury Industries is on the move! Literally overnight, Saulsbury Industries made the move from their Andrews Hwy. location to the site of their new facility across town. The 60,000 sq. ft. building, which is the recent site of Telvista Communications, was purchased by Saulsbury Industries late last year. As exponential growth began to occur within the company, the Andrews Hwy. location was simply not enough. “We had many offices in that building with two people in them. That’s how packed we were,” says Bubba Saulsbury, Jr., VP of Business Development. The new facility will house not only the entire office staff, but put all the employees and disciplines under one roof. “Just like any corporation, there seems to be a disconnect when your personnel are scattered across 3 different building. It doesn’t only make it difficult on your people, but difficult on collaborating on different projects,” Saulsbury says. Along with putting all personnel under one roof, Saulsbury Industries has also made mass renovations to the facility in preparation for the big move. “We have basically gutted this building, and started from scratch in order for it to meet our needs and accommodate our existing employees, as well as expansion for future employees,” Saulsbury says. “
Saulsbury anticipates that by mid-2012, their new fabrication facility will begin breaking ground directly across I-20. “right now, we are still maintaining our Andrews Hwy. location for employee processing and training & fabrication needs until we can get our new facility built across I-20. Once this is in place, we will truly be all in one centralized location.” Saulsbury says.
Once the dust settles, we plan on having a public open house for the community and city officials to tour the building. Odessa is truly the epicenter of the energy sector right now, and we are proud to call Odessa our home, ” he adds.
Saulsbury Industries opened a Saulsbury Electric (SEC) division office in Port Arthur, TX to better serve our clients needs in the Gulf Coast region and beyond.
